Dance Attire Requirements

DRESS AND SHOE REQUIREMENTS:

BALLET/TAP COMBO: Black tap shoes (ties should be replaced with black elastic) and Pink Ballet Shoes for Girls; Black Ballet or jazz shoes for boys; Girls should wear a leotard and tights or unitard and tights of any color. Hair worn off the face preferably in a ponytail, braid(s) or bun. Costumes and feathers on leotards are discouraged for class. DANCERS IN THESE CLASSES SHOULD HAVE WHITE TIGHTS AVAILABLE FOR PERFORMANCES . Boys wear athletic style pants and t shirt.

JAZZ/TAP COMBO FOR THIRD GRADE THRU MIDDLE SCHOOL:
NON-SHINY black tap shoes that are oxford or slip on style (no patent leather tie shoes for this age) and TAN slip on jazz shoes (not carmel or suntan). Dancers should wear leggings, or jazz pants, or jazz shorts, tight fitting top. Short booty shorts need to be worn with tights. Dancers this age should own a pair of black leggings for community performances.. Hair off the face in a ponytail, braids or bun. Pajama pants and sweats pants are not allowed.

JAZZ/TAP COMBO FOR HIGH SCHOOL: Black oxford or slip on tap shoes and tan foot undeez. Dancers should wear jazz pants or shorts, tight tops. HIP HOP FOR ELEMENTARY: Sneakers until the shoe style is decided for recital. Loose Fitting Clothes that can go over their dance clothes for other classes are ok but not required.

HIP HOP FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL: Sneakers until the shoe style is decided for recital. Loose fitting clothes - clothing that can go over their dancewear for another class is ok. NO JEANS, NO SHORT SHORTS, NO BARE FEET.

CLASSICAL BALLET AND POINTE FOR THIRD GRADE AND UP: Pink SPLIT SOLE ballet shoes; black leotard, pink tights, hair must be in a bun.

TECHNIQUE CLASS – foot undeez and same clothing as Jazz/Tap.
