THE RECITALS WERE FANTASTIC! MY HUMBLE AND HEARFELT THANKS TO ALL. We have been busy doing a variety of things in the community and setting up for the summer.

PERFORMANCE FOR THE SENIOR CITIZENS  on FRIDAY, JUNE 13th– Please bring your child to the studio to practice at 5:40PM on that day as we will practice before we go to perform. .  Bring their costumes with them as the performance is immediately after at the Senior Center (across from Rojo’s) and we don’t want to take the chance that someone won’t get to perform if they have to go back to get costumes. 
Special workshop classes
PRINCESS DANCE DAYS –  Ages 3 to 6. Ballet class and other fun dance and art activities with a princess theme. From 9:30 to 12:15.  “Dancing princesses” who have participated in past dance days have made this one of their favorite summer classes.
ROCK STAR DAYS – Ages 6 to 10. Singing, dancing, acting and performance activities perfect for the “star” in your family who loves to entertain. From 10:15 until 1:00.
Dates are June 23, July 7 and July 28. Dancers may take any one, two or three of these special days. Cost is $26 each day. If your child is interested, please call/email the studio to let us know. 

YOUTH THEATER WORKSHOP – “The Beauty and the Beast” – A two week workshop that will culminate in the performance of this favorite classic. Ages 5 to 14.  The dates are July 8th to 19th  This is put on by The Sierra Tahoe Children’s Theater under the direction of Liz Niven, Bob Grant and moi.  Call the studio to sign up.  ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE CAST IN THE PRODUCTION. Kids who have participated in these productions loved it and many have gone on to lead roles in high school, college and professionally.

BALLET WITH MISS ROBIN continues all summer.  Call the studio or check the website for times.

We will have a pick up day for videos, etc. on Friday, June 20th from 9 to 5.

I will be attending a couple of teaching seminars once again this summer.  I recently visited a renowned ballet program in Southern California and the parallels in their approach to dance education/children and that of our studio, affirmed our commitment to excellence for our kids.
